Randomness

Henri is really getting to be a big boy. So big in fact we had to designate and "play area" for him and his expanding collection of "stuff"! We recently bought some of soft foam puzzle pieces to put on the hard wood floor. He really doesn't seem to notice them except for the fact that kicking these days must be a little less painful, hehe! He kicked the tile in the bathroom so hard he bruised his heel, that was my hint to get the foam pieces. Henri is very close to rolling over from his back to his belly and tries really hard to sit up unassisted. Today for the first time after his morning nap, he reached for me to pick him up when I entered his room. It may have been like number 8 on my top 10 list of coolest things I have encountered in my life! The title is real....that's all I have for this post....until next time

Who can resist a soapy bath pic of the cutest baby ever!

Henri's new five by five foot play area!

Correction. What we meant to say was CARSON'S new five by five foot sprawl out mat.

Six Months

Whoa, and just like that, half a year is over. Henri turned six months old this past Monday and quite frankly, we can not believe it. He has had a busy week as well. Six month check up at the Pediatricians office as well as his six month photos. I will add the link so that you can check out his six month photos and we have taken another with his blue bear and blocks so that you can see the size progression. Henri continues to make progress every single day. His favorite things right now are screaming as high pitched and loud as he can pretty much all day long, stuffing not one, but both hands in his mouth, kicking anything in site, and giggling. He is all over bath time and hates peas. We introduced pureed baby food this week and he is NOT a fan yet. Mom and Dad will continue to try, but he is content with breast milk and a little cereal in the evenings. Henri weighed in at a hefty 12 pounds 8 ounces and was just a hair over two feet. He is still not on the growth chart, but remains in a positive growth pattern on his own. The pediatrician is thrilled with his progress and will see him again in three months. H is enamored with his Dad. Pretty much the second he walks in from work, that's it, his attention is diverted from anything and everything he may be doing. He smiles and coos at Josh like "where have you been all day Dad, you left me here with Mom all by myself, I missed you, don't do that again!" All in all, we feel luckier everyday for a healthy happy baby and love each and every milestone!

Here is the link to his professional photos.

Happy Heart Day

First off, we want to give a shout out for National Heart Defect Awareness week to all those kids who have been healed and are in need of healing. Second, we wanted to commemorate Henri's first Valentine's day with some photos. Of course his only Valentine this year is mommy, but she is okay with that.

"mom....cool it, yes.....the ladies want to take me out already!"

For any cute ladies reading the blog, this shirt is talkin' to you!

Mommy's peaceful prince, and this outfit can not tell a lie.

Sunday, Sunday, Sunday

So Sunday can certainly mean a lot of important things to different people. Sunday can be the Sabbath for some, or a day of worship for others. Sunday can be a day off from work to relax, Sunday can be a day to work. Either way.......one Sunday comes along each year that has importance, relevance, excitement, heart break.......and for my son......his FIRST EVER......SUPERBOWL!!!!!!! We had to cheer for the Colts because we can't help but love Peyton, but it was not to be this year. Anyway....as most of you know Henri really doesn't get TV time, but last night his Dad made and exception. Here are some of the cutest pictures yet! Enjoy.

Henri's first Superbowl coin toss!

If you could see his face, Henri is saying "Go Colts!"

Henri is already trying to get the "feel" of the football.

Random Cuteness

Henri is quickly approaching his six month old well baby check up. He will see his pediatrician on the 16th. He is really hitting some fun milestones. He is taking about an ounce of rice cereal every evening and he is beginning to go down at bedtime much easier. That being said, he still does not enjoy staying asleep or napping much throughout the day. He is entertaining himself for longer periods of time and giggles out loud! In fact, we get the most giggles in the evening when he is getting ready for his bath. Henri has also discovered Carson in the last week or so....he is enamored. He just gets very still and quiet and stares at him. Carson has returned the curiosity by getting closer to Henri and sniffing his hands at times. All in all, things are getting very fun around here and a schedule is forming, it's wonderful. Here are some pictures of random fun and cuteness with our handsome boy.
