Happy Heart Day

First off, we want to give a shout out for National Heart Defect Awareness week to all those kids who have been healed and are in need of healing. Second, we wanted to commemorate Henri's first Valentine's day with some photos. Of course his only Valentine this year is mommy, but she is okay with that.

"mom....cool it, yes.....the ladies want to take me out already!"

For any cute ladies reading the blog, this shirt is talkin' to you!

Mommy's peaceful prince, and this outfit can not tell a lie.

Sunday, Sunday, Sunday

So Sunday can certainly mean a lot of important things to different people. Sunday can be the Sabbath for some, or a day of worship for others. Sunday can be a day off from work to relax, Sunday can be a day to work. Either way.......one Sunday comes along each year that has importance, relevance, excitement, heart break.......and for my son......his FIRST EVER......SUPERBOWL!!!!!!! We had to cheer for the Colts because we can't help but love Peyton, but it was not to be this year. Anyway....as most of you know Henri really doesn't get TV time, but last night his Dad made and exception. Here are some of the cutest pictures yet! Enjoy.

Henri's first Superbowl coin toss!

If you could see his face, Henri is saying "Go Colts!"

Henri is already trying to get the "feel" of the football.

Random Cuteness

Henri is quickly approaching his six month old well baby check up. He will see his pediatrician on the 16th. He is really hitting some fun milestones. He is taking about an ounce of rice cereal every evening and he is beginning to go down at bedtime much easier. That being said, he still does not enjoy staying asleep or napping much throughout the day. He is entertaining himself for longer periods of time and giggles out loud! In fact, we get the most giggles in the evening when he is getting ready for his bath. Henri has also discovered Carson in the last week or so....he is enamored. He just gets very still and quiet and stares at him. Carson has returned the curiosity by getting closer to Henri and sniffing his hands at times. All in all, things are getting very fun around here and a schedule is forming, it's wonderful. Here are some pictures of random fun and cuteness with our handsome boy.

5 Months

So Henri has hit some new major milestones in life. He is now five months old and he weighed 12 pounds even at his last RSV appointment. Boo for shots, he still is definitely not a fan. I have included in this post some comparison turtle pictures. I have also started something new. Henri received some wooden blocks for Christmas. We will use the blocks and his bear with his birth statistics on it. We starting introducing sign language with Henri a few weeks ago and it's going great. He really seems to watch us when we sign and gives inquisitive looks occasionally. He has started to giggle more often and for longer periods and really just loves his bath time. Cereal is still just a lot of practice and no real caloric intake, but it sure is fun watching his expressions when we are feeding him. Bottom line, he is really starting to gain a personality and is tons 'o fun to be around!!!

As you can see....turtle is getting smaller and smaller! Henri can now pick the turtle up and promptly put it's head in his mouth! Nice huh!

Random Holiday Fun

Here is a small montage of other holiday bliss from 2009. Happy New Year to everyone. Henri rung in the new year by taking a feed around midnight and then trying to party the rest of the night. It made for a very tired mommy.

Henri and Emma....they have figured out that there is another baby there now! Emma was almost two pounds bigger than Henri at four months....but as you can see....he is making up ground quickly. Our two new beautifuls......our family is so lucky to have two healthy beautiful children.....and of course Anna too!

This is what I call the Graham clan...my parents...brother and his beautiful family, and us.

Aunt Natalie

Another very exciting reason to go home for the holidays was a chance meeting with Aunt Natalie. She is on assignment in California right now and missed Henri's birth by three short days. She came to visit mommy on bed rest! Aunt Nat got Henri some good loot and a cute outfits, but most importantly got to love on Henri! We miss you already Aunt Nat....can't wait to see you again for a longer stretch of time.

Aunt Nati at our visit...she's the best...send Henri cute bibs from Cali!

Cuddle time with Aunt Nat!

The Boinays

So this last trip home for Christmas was great for many reasons.....one of which was Henri's first meeting with Josh's Aunt Grace, Uncle Paul, and kids Ben and Nick. They are a beautiful family and were very excited to see little Henri. Although....I think they were impressed with his growth over four months. Here are some pictures of us with them and them loving on our boy. We hope to take Henri to their house someday in D.C. for an extended visit! Hope you don't mind the self invitation guys!

Cousin Ben lovin' on Henri....Henri really enjoyed playing with him on his boppy.

The Boinay's....cousin Nick is holding Henri in this pic.
